What is PrEP
PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a daily medication that significantly reduces HIV infection for individuals. It prevents the virus from replicating in the body if exposure occurs. PrEP is highly effective when taken consistently every day. It is recommended for people who are in a positive neutral sexual relationship, engage in condomless sex, or share needles.
The most commonly prescribed PrEP medications are Truvada (tenofovir disoproxil fumarate/emtricitabine) and Descovy (tenofovir alafenamide/emtricitabine).
Regular 3-month HIV testing is required while taking PrEP to ensure continued health and effectiveness.
PrEP is an empowering strategy for HIV prevention, allowing individuals to take control of their health while complementing other protective measures like condom use and regular STI screenings.

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is a highly effective medication that helps prevent HIV for individuals at risk. Our team offers comprehensive PrEP linkage and navigation services, ensuring that you have access to the information and resources necessary to start and maintain PrEP.
What is PEP
PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a 28-day course of antiretroviral medication to help prevent HIV infection after potential exposure. It works by stopping the virus from replicating itself in the body. PEP is recommended for individuals who may have been exposed to HIV through unprotected sex or needle sharing. The sooner PEP is initiated, the more effective it is, so it is crucial to seek medical attention immediately if exposure is suspected.
While PEP is highly effective when taken as prescribed, it is not a replacement for ongoing prevention methods like PrEP.
PEP Linkage & Navigation
We provide:
Free WALK-IN PrEP consultations

Non-occupational post-exposure Prophylaxis (nPEP) is an emergency medication regimen that can prevent HIV infection if started within 72 hours of exposure.
